S.T.a.R.-network
EAT Spedition AS is a member of a German transport chain, which consists of 53 mainly privately owned German and foreign companies that cover all of the German states and several bordering countries. The purpose of the cooperation is to achieve higher efficiency and to create an expansive network in Europe. Kolding is the central junction in Denmark, where Danish export goods to the European destinations are gathered. EAT Spedition AS has, as the only Danish forwarding agency, been selected as a S.T.a.R business partner.
S.T.a.R. in practice
On a daily basis EAT Spedition AS sends transports to and from a so-called “turntable”/storage terminal, which is located in Homberg at Kassel, and which EAT Spedition AS is a co-owner of. From this location there are daily departures through a local network to all possible destinations. Similar networks exist in other countries such as Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria and Italy. In this way the network branches out from Denmark in the north to Sicily in the south – and from Warsaw in the east to Lisbon in the west. The road for the customer’s transport is never long or weary, but efficient and systematic.
