EAT Spedition AS was founded in 1986 under the name of IAT Spedition A/S and is a 100% Danish-owned transport agency. Today the company employs more than 50 people working in different departments.

EAT Spedition AS started in rented premises on Mønten 3 in Kolding, but by 1988 moved to larger premises of their own on Dieselvej 4, also in Kolding.

Later it became necessary to rent additional storage and office space, and so, in 1999, it was decided to purchase new larger storage and office facilities at Kokmose 2-6.

It soon became obvious that the newly acquired facilities could not fulfil the rapidly growing space requirements of EAT Spedition AS, and therefore it was decided to build a larger combined office and storage building. This building was first inaugurated in December 2002.


IDS Spedition ApS

In 1994 IDS Spedition K/S, a sister company, was founded. In 1996 one of the employees bought part of the company and at the same time the company relationship became a partnership. IDS Spedition ApS rents office and storage facilities at EAT Spedition AS.
In December 2001 EAT Spedition Scandinavia AS, another sister company, was founded in Ringsted with 2 employees to boost transport activities on Zealand and in Sweden.
